What is the Maximum Weight Capacity?
The maximum weight capacity for safe use of the top handle varies depending on the size of the plastic storage bin you buy. To safely carry the containers one-handed, never exceed the recommended weight capacity.
7-quart: 20 lbs.
16-quart: 25 lbs.
27-quart: 30 lbs.
44-quart: 35 lbs.
63-quart: 40 lbs.
What are the Storage Bins Made From?
All Randomgrounds plastic storage bins use polypropylene. Polypropylene is a newer plastic material that society can recycle many times, and it remains durable in each iteration. Randomgrounds requests that you recycle our storage boxes after you no longer need them.
Where Were the Storage Containers Manufactured?
These storage bins with lids are manufactured in China. Randomgrounds is the original manufacturer and partners directly with our chosen factories. Additionally, we vet every factory thoroughly so we can bring out high-quality plastic storage bins to you.
My Lid(s) Arrived Cracked. Where Can I Get a Replacement?
Unfortunately, cracked lids do happen, especially in the shipping process of the storage bins. While Randomgrounds does everything possible to ensure all pieces arrive intact, we cannot control everything. If your lid cracks, let us know, and we’ll send you a replacement.
How Many Containers are in a Set?
Presently, each set of Randomgrounds storage boxes comes with four containers and four lids. This number is the best option for creating meaningful and helpful storage space, not more clutter in your home.
Can I Buy Only One?
At this time, Randomgrounds does not sell individual containers. We feel that our option of increments of four storage boxes is most beneficial for our customers. Check back, however, because we are considering the idea.
What is the Best Way to Carry These Storage Containers?
You can carry them using the top handle, side handles, or from the bottom of the plastic storage bins. We recommend observing the weight limit when using the top handle for safety and ensuring your storage boxes last as long as possible.
What Can I Store in These Containers?
These storage bins with lids are safe to store anything you like, including sensitive items like baby supplies. We sell different bin sizes for different items, so you do not need to stuff a sweater in the 7-quart bin.
How Many Storage Bins Do I Need?
If you would like a precise estimate, lay out what you would like to store on the floor or other flat surfaces. Then measure the length, width, and average height of your items. By multiplying these measures together, you can properly estimate your storage requirements.
How Many Wheels are on the Storage Bins?
Not all Randomgrounds storage bins come with wheels. The 27-quart, 44-quart, 63-quart, and 95-quart options all have one wheel in each corner of the container for a total of four wheels on the storage bins.
Can I Stack the Storage Bins with Wheels?
You can stack any Randomgrounds storage bins with wheels safely. Our lids feature wheel-catching designs, so you do not need to worry about sliding.
Does Water Seep into These Storage Bins Where the Wheels Are?
No, water cannot seep up where the wheels are. The wheels do not breach the bottom of the storage bins and instead rest in a pocket in the storage container bottom.
Are These Containers Pest Resistant?
Yes, these storage boxes are pest-resistant when sealed. However, we do not claim our products are entirely pest proof.
Are the Storage Containers Food Grade?
Yes. Randomgrounds containers use polypropylene, which the FDA lists as an approved plastic. Randomgrounds also ensures that all our plastic storage bins with lids are free from PVCs, BPAs, phthalates, lead, cadmium, or other toxic materials.
Can These Hold Ice?
Yes, our plastic storage bins with lids can hold ice and not leak.
Are These Affected by Temperature (i.e., extreme cold)?
Randomgrounds products are designed for indoor or garage storage. While our storage boxes can stand up to extreme cold, damp, or hot conditions, they may reduce the useful life of the storage bins.
Are These Storage Bins Safe Around Children?
If all pieces are firmly attached to the plastic storage bins, these bins can work well around children. However, if your container becomes damaged, such as a handle malfunction, promptly remove the bin from your child’s vicinity.
